Bear was our first family dog.
This picture was not taken with a digital camera. It was some random old school film camera I had as a teenager (no idea what type anymore). I had the film developed and decided to hop on the bus and bring them to show my best friend. While waiting for the bus to arrive, I decided to have a look at the pictures. I literally had them out for 2 minutes. While I was looking at them, a bird flew overhead, took a crap, which then perfectly landed right on Bear’s photograph.
I couldn’t believe it. While I was glad that none got on me directly, I quickly went in my purse, got a tissue and wiped the crap off the picture. What a mess! The acid in the bird crap ruined the photo and smudged all the ink which made a weird texture on the paper. I arrived at my friend’s home and told her what had happened and while it was funny and we cracked up laughing about the situation that of course it would have had to of happen to me on the way, I was completely devastated that such a funny shot of my dog doing my math homework was totally ruined!
Even though the picture was damaged, I still saved it and I am glad I did.
Bear had unfortunately passed away soon after this was taken. Now with the editing software these days, I was able to fix it to how the photograph should have looked before I pulled it out at the bus stop. I still left some of the “old school” vibe to it but so thankful I was able to repair the damage.
I miss you Bear xo
